Last night we were eating dinner and trying to feed Amalia. She had a case of Roseola this last week, so her appetite for solid foods has not been very good. I was feeding her pureed squash (usually a favorite) and she put her hand out, palm facing me and with a scowl on her face said "no!" My goodness! She said "no" to me! How adorable!! Well, for now. So I gave her some chunks of avocado (another fave) and then the ultimate favorite: Cheerios. After a bit of that I had Jon try to give her some more squash. This time she said "No more!" (It sounded more like "no moh"). My jaw dropped! No More? Your kidding me? You know how to say "no more"? I guess she learned that at day care.
She is also starting to use the sign language for "more" which we usually use when eating Cheerios: "want some more cheerios?" She was doing pretty well with that last night, but also saying the word "more" as she did it. Soooo cute!
Another fun thing she started doing this week (while we waited at after hours care to figure out why she had a fever) is walking while holding your hands. She is almost walking on her own! Yikes!!
37 weeks!
