1-10

This morning at breakfast, Amalia counted to 10 by herself. We have been sorta practicing this with her, just asking her to repeat the numbers after we do. Then last week she started chanting the numbers randomly as she flipped through a box of un-hung framed Fillmore posters in the kitchen (yes we are still quite a mess after moving)... at that point the counting was more mimicry than anything...: "doo, fee, et, SEVEN, ive, SEVEN... " and so on...

Today I sliced up a half banana for her and it happened to be roughly 10 slices, and her mom asked if she could count the bananas and so she did:

- DO
- TEE
- FO
- IVE
- SIX
- SEVEN
- ET
- NIIIINE
- TIN!

It's a big day here!
