"Do you want to go see Santa today?" we asked her.
"Yea," she replied.
"Do you want to sit on Santa's lap and take a picture?" we asked.
"Molly sit on Santa's lap." she said.
So we get to the mall and we see Santa. Everything's fine, but she gets a little quiet. "Do you want to sit on Santa's lap?"
She still says "Yea."
We got in line and only waited a bit and Santa came over to say hi. He was a pretty good looking Santa with a real beard, cute little glasses, but he really needed to work on his outfit. It was more clown-like than Santa-ish. He chatted to us for a bit while the photographers were prepping.
Finally we tried to sit her down with Santa and she immediately flipped out. So we let the people in line behind us go and she was able to watch two little boys get their picture taken with Santa with no harm done. So we tried again. Daddy put her on his lap and ran (a recommendation from the photographer). She was terrified! Then the photographer's assistant had this toy he was throwing in her face to get her to look up at the camera which, in my opinion, was more disturbing than Santa. I wanted to yell at the guy "stop throwing that stupid toy in my kids face!" I had enough of her crying so I yelled to Jon "Pick her up! That's enough!" She only sat on his lap for about 10 - 15 seconds. After Daddy picked her up she was fine.

This is funny. I didn't know that Santa could be scary to her--poor little thing!
